Conscious Touch

Touch is another great way to connect with your body and  notice the sensations of pleasure. Breath and movement can be incorporated with touch to expand our internal awareness.

Often we can feel self-conscious when touching ourselves and may experience self-judgmental thoughts about how we look. We tend to spend a lot of time comparing ourselves to others and/or feeling displeased by some attribute of our physical self.

As we engage in conscious touch it’s important to be gentle with ourselves. Setting the intention of creating a space of self-loving touch that coincides with building erotic energy can be a great way to begin to let go of the judgment.

Conscious Touch In this video we explore different kinds of touch and connecting with what feels best to you. Watch Nellie’s demonstration and then see how deliciously you can touch yourself in playful, sensual, and loving ways.

Conscious Touch for Women
The Conscious Touch Exercises for Women worksheet offers ideas for exploring sensual self-touch. Experiment with what feels good to your body.

For many of us, when we touch ourselves for sexual pleasure, the attention is focused exclusively on our genitals.  We ignore the rest of our body. It’s as if we live in two worlds: no genitals and only genitals. We believe that it’s important to engage the entire body as a way to expand sexual pleasure and embodiment in our erotic self. Experiment with touching your legs, arms, belly, nipples and other parts of your body as well as your genitals.
