Erotic
trance holds many pleasures for men willing to break through habits and
beliefs. Through erotic trance we can learn to become multi-orgasmic,
learn to separate orgasm from ejaculation and break the patterns
developed over a lifetime to attain newfound heights of ecstasy.
The first focus to reaching erotic trance is to become aware of the power of intention. Most of us are very used to raising erotic energy without much thought. We become focused on maintaining an erection, controlling ejaculation, and/or the goal of getting off. I offer a suggestion that we focus our intention to raise pleasure and spend time enjoying and savoring with out a goal.
Erections come and go – it’s a natural cycle. We tend to go fast and furious to get hard that we aren't even aware of how good it feels. Slow down! I encourage you to focus on the sensations and notice the distinct feelings of pleasure you can experience with and without an erection. And expand your attention out to feel the pleasure in the rest of your body too. Often just slowing down and focusing your mind on what you feel will result in a hard cock. Our body will do what comes naturally if we let it.
Another important part of accessing erotic trance is to let go of any control you may have. Most of us are concerned about looking silly, making noise, or drawing attention. I invite you to let go how you look. If you find the mental noise creeping back in, bring your full attention to your breath – the inhale and exhale.
Many of us learned to hide our masturbation practices. We leaned to be very efficient at it - cum quickly and quietly so as not to get caught. Try making some noise. In fact, noise is key to high states of arousal. Here's a worksheet with some exercises around playing with noise. There's more about playing with sounds here.

Erotic trance is the place to begin to explore becoming multi-orgasmic. Orgasm and ejaculation are different responses and we can learn to separate the two. A key to becoming multi-orgasmic is to learn to have full body orgasms. Usually these full body orgasms aren't accompanied by ejaculation - it's more of an energetic experience that ignites the body to even greater levels of pleasure. We'll explore multiple, whole body orgasms in these exercises.
I encourage you to take it slow and practice each step offered in the videos and worksheets. There's no need to rush through this. In fact, if you rush through this I can assure you that it won't work.

Infants are naturally curious about their bodies. Baby boys touch themselves everywhere they can. As infants we learn that touch to our genitals is pleasurable. However, this natural exploration is usually discouraged. We quickly learn that genital touch is something to be ashamed of. As we grow older most of us are torn between the pleasurable feelings of self touch and the guilt imposed by our culture.
This causes us to develop guilt and shame around self touch. We enjoy touching ourselves because it feels good. However, others clearly disapprove of such touch. This causes continual mental conflict over self touch. As a result many men develop what has been called the ‘genital hole’ We become conditioned to ignore the feelings and sensations in our genitals. Some of us become numb.
For many of us when we begin self touch our attention focuses entirely to our genitals. We ignore the rest of our body. It’s as if we live in two worlds: no genitals and only genitals. I believe that it’s important to engage the entire body when cultivating erotic trance. There are a lot of other places on our body that can generate erotic energy. I encourage you to include your legs, arms, belly, nipples and other parts of your body.

Most men are familiar with the standard sexual response model of excitement, plateau and orgasm. There is an erotic zone in the later part of the plateau phase but before the point of ejaculatory inevitability where the erotic energy is at a peak and can be sustained. Peaking is highly individualistic; each man will do this in a way that's best for him. The important thing is to focus your attention to savoring the feelings in your body while not focusing on any particular goal such as ejaculation.
